After completing his undergraduate studies in Science Education at Middle East Technical University (METU), he finished the integrated doctoral program in the Department of Elementary Education at the same university. Between 2012 and 2013, he conducted research in the United States as a visiting scholar at the University of Missouri, where he continued working on his doctoral dissertation. Following four years of service as a research assistant in the Department of Elementary Education at METU, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Science Education at Artvin Çoruh University from 2014 to 2020.
He received his associate professorship in 2020 and was awarded the title of full professor in 2025, continuing his academic career in the same department. His research interests include the analysis of PISA data, teacher education, teacher beliefs, the history of science education, and scientific literacy.

Dr Stamatios Papadakis is an Assistant Professor in Educational Technology, emphasising mobile learning, at the Department of Preschool Education at the University of Crete, Greece, since 2016. He graduated from the Department of Informatics, Athens University of Economics and Business, Athens, Greece. In 2006 he completed a master’s degree (M.Ed.) in Pre-school Education and Educational Design at the University of Aegean, Rhodes, Greece, at the School of Humanities, Department of Pre-school Education. In 2016, he completed a PhD at the University of Crete, Department of Education in Rethymnon, Greece. He has worked as an adjunct Lecturer in Education, teaching Didactics in Programming (2017-2018) at the Department of Computer Sciences, School of Sciences and Engineering at the University of Crete, Greece. Since 2017 he has worked as an adjunct Lecturer in Education teaching Informatics (2017-2018) at the Department of Preschool Education, School of Education, University of Crete, Greece.
He has worked in several international and national computational thinking and pedagogy projects for Pre-K to 16 Education. His scientific and research interests include the study of mobile learning, especially on using smart mobile devices and their accompanying mobile applications (apps) in Preschool and Primary Education, focusing on developing Computational Thinking and students’ understanding of numbers. Furthermore, he currently investigates how a STEM learning approach influences learning achievement through a context-aware mobile learning environment in the preschool classroom and explain the effects on preschoolers' learning outcomes.

He is an ambassador for Scientix - The Community for Science Education in Europe and EU Code Week. He is an ESERA member, CSTA, EAI, IGIP, and the Union for Science and Technology (ENEPHET).
He has published in scientific peer-reviewed journals and international conferences (including Computers & Education, Education and Information Technologies, Early Childhood Education Journal) and book chapters.

I am a faculty member at the Faculty of Education at Erol KOÇOĞLU University.
2003 yılında KTÜ Fatih Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Matematik Öğretmenliği lisans programını tamamladı. Aynı yıl Trabzon Köprübaşı Çifteköprü İlköğretim Okulu’nda matematik öğretmeni olarak çalışmaya başlarken, aynı üniversitenin matematik eğitimi bilim alanında da yüksek lisans eğitimine başladı. Bir yıl öğret¬menlik yaptıktan sonra 2004 yılında KTÜ’ye bağlı olarak kurulan Artvin Eğitim Fakültesi’nde araştırma görevlisi oldu. 2007 yılında, kadrosu KTÜ’den ayrılarak yeni kurulan Artvin Çoruh Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi’ne kaydırıldı. 2012 yılın¬da bütünleşik doktora programından mezun olarak doktor öğretim üyesi kadro¬suna atanan Çalık-Uzun 2021 yılına kadar Artvin Çoruh üniversitesine hizmet etmiştir. 2021 yılında Trabzon Üniversitesi Matematik ve Fen bilimleri Eğitimi Bölümü Matematik Eğitimi Ana Bilim Dalında çalışmaya başlayan Çalık-Uzun, halen aynı üniversitede görevine devam etmektedir. Öğrenci anlayışları, öğretmen yetiştirme, alternatif ölçme yaklaşımları konuları üzerinde çalışmalar yapmaktadır. Evli ve 3 çocuk annesidir.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hülya ERTAŞ KILIÇ completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in Physics Education at Hacettepe University. She is currently working as a faculty member at Aksaray University, Faculty of Education, Department of Mathematics and Science Education. She has studies on out-of-school learning, critical thinking, scientific process skills, problem solving skills and current issues in physics education.
